In the banking sector, responding effectively to requests for proposals (RFPs) is crucial for winning contracts and maintaining a competitive position. Faced with this challenge, BNP Paribas has undertaken to enhance its RFP response process with AI to improve its efficiency and competitiveness. The bank needed a solution capable of assisting bankers by extracting, analyzing, and proposing responses from reference documents in various formats such as Word, Excel, PDF, and PPT. These responses needed to be reliable, relevant, and aligned with the bank’s guidelines and publicly available data, relying on a highly rich source of documentation
Horrea responded by developing Iris, an advanced AI platform tailored to the specific needs of BNP Paribas. This system, named BNPP Document Intelligence (B-DI), serves as a comprehensive resource for all the bank’s public documentation. We use cutting-edge technologies to ensure highly sophisticated document acquisition and understanding (RAG, embedding, reranking…).
Iris ensures precise, complete, and relevant responses to RFPs, while maintaining the existing user interface for seamless integration into BNP Paribas’ workflow. Iris goes beyond basic document analysis by offering customizable prompts for specific queries and the ability to adjust focus on specific parts of the database. Additionally, it incorporates summarization and file-adding features, enhancing efficiency and productivity in handling RFPs.
The platform MVP’s performance is delivering, with astonishing response quality, meeting the bank’s highest standards. The application ensures that the information generated comes ONLY from the documents selected by the bank. No more biases from AI ‘hallucinations’ or the use of data encountered during the model training phases.Ultimately, the teams are supported by AI and save time in their daily tasks with a relevant copilot.
